Not worth the hassle to ever stay there again, especially if they are going to be so rude and petty...But overall the campgrounds were nice. However, It wasn't nice being so close to the very busy road with all the noise from the traffic.
We just camped for 4 days and had to leave a review. The couple that own the campground couldn't have been nicer! Loaned us a hose to use since we forgot ours, gave great instructions for the rafting trip, and delivered wood to the site. Bathrooms and showers were clean and stocked with soft tp. They provide bins for recyclables and garbages with bags at each site.
She was very rude and unprofessional about it when we got there and over the phone!
We love using Brookside to camp and raft. The owners are amazing!
The guy who owns the place was pretty nice, the kitten that greeted us and the parking lot was awesome, but the campsite was so so at best. All the sites are very close to the main road so loud truck noise kept me awake all night. Also, the bathrooms leaves much to be desired. They were clean enough, but the showers offer no privacy as far as changing area. You just step out of the teeny tiny shower stall into the public space.I will give it props though for being the only Campground open in the area in November.
We have friends renting a site there next weekend and we are making it our go to campground for future trips.
When I got back to a service area, I saw that there had been two charges from brookside. I called them to get a refund for the first charge. The owner started arguing with me and said that she NEVER made a charge and she WOULDN'T make a refund.
The owner was friendly and helpful. Brookside is a cute, clean, well-kept camping site....and very well priced! The location is easy to get to and close to great hiking and swimming points. Camp here!
We called in advance and made a reservation and paid over the phone for two nights, but when we arrived the lady at the front desk said she had never charged us and acted very irritated and rude to us. There was no service to check our bank account, so we had to pay AGAIN!
